رحم الله الملك عبد العزيز وأسكنه فسيح جناته وأثابه خير الجزاء، على توحيد جزيرة العرب تحت راية الإسلام. كانت حياته جهاداً وعملاً ومثابرة، من أجل أن تكون المملكة العربية السعودية دار الأمن والاستقرار. إنّ المطلع على تاريخ هذا البطل المغوار يعرف النفس العالية التي يحملها والإخلاص لدينه وأمته وحفاظه على الحرمين الشريفين، ورعايته لكل وافد للحج والعمرة، ثم بسياسته الخارجية التي شهد بها القاصي والداني، حتى اعتبر من أفضل ساسة القرن الماضي، رغم أنه تخرج من جامعة الحياة والخبرات والهمة العالية وصدق النية والعمل. يقول – رحمه الله – في إحدى خطبه : أنا داعية لعقيدة السلف الصالح وعقيدة السلف الصالح هي: التمسك بكتاب الله وسنّة رسوله وما جاء عن الخلفاء الراشدون، وأما ما كان غير موجود فيها فأرجع بشأنها لأقوال الأئمة الأربعة فآخذ منها ما فيه صلاح المسلمين. وفي حفل الاستقبال الذي أقيم بمدينة الطائف في وكالة المالية عام 1351هـ ومن ضمن كلماته رحمه الله : أما الأمور العصرية التي تعيننا وتفيدنا ويبيحها دين الإسلام، فنحن نأخذها ونعمل بها ونسعى في تعميمها، أما المنافي منها للإسلام فإننا ننبذه ونسعى جهدنا في مقاومته لأنه لا طاعة لمخلوق في معصية الخالق، ولا مدنية أفضل وأحسن من مدنية الإسلام، ولا عز لنا إلاّ بالتمسك به، ويجب أن تحرصوا على العمل والعمل لا يكون إلا بالتساند والتعاضد وإخلاص النية ونحن نحتاج إلى القوة في كل شيء وكلنا أمة واحدة عربية ديننا الإسلام ونبينا محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم. مهما كتب عن موحد هذه الجزيرة فيعتبر قليلاً من كثير عن مؤسس هذا الكيان، لقد أحبنا عبد العزيز فأخلصنا له الحب والولاء، والشجرة الطيبة تعطي النتاج الطيب في أبنائه رحمهم الله وأطال في عمر خادم الحرمين الشريفين وولي عهده الأمين اللذين همهما مصلحة هذا الوطن، سواء في أمنه أو إنجازاته من هذه المشاريع المترامية الأطراف والتي شملت المدن والمحافظات والقرى والهجر، ويأتي في قمة هذا الإنجاز الهام توسعة الحرمين الشريفين، هذه التوسعة التي لم يشهد لها التاريخ مثيلاً. بلدنا بحمد الله بلد الخير والأمن والاستقرار، ويبقى دورنا في الحفاظ على هذه المعطيات وغرس الولاء والوفاء والمحبة والالتفاف، ونبذ كل ما فيه ضرر وخطر على مصلحة بلادنا ودولتنا، ونبتهل إلى العزيز الكريم أن يحفظ ديننا ويجزي كل من يعمل لمصلحة بلادنا وأمننا ووحدتنا. والله الموفق.
