استوقفني حديث أحد المحللين السياسيين العراقيين عندما قال: لو كان العراق لا ينتج إلا فجلاً فهل ستغزو أمريكا العراق؟.. أما البترودولار فهو الذهب الذي ذهب ببلاد الرافدين.. البلاد التي كانت تزن كل كتاب جديد بمقداره ذهباً بلاد الخمسة آلاف سنة من الحضارة والتقدم، البلاد التي خرجت العلماء والأطباء والأدباء والشعراء بلاد الخيرات والعشرة ملايين نخلة فهل يعقل أن هذه الخمس سنوات من الاحتلال الغاشم تهدم ما بنيناه خلال خمسة آلاف سنة.. هلاك ودمار وصل إلى 1,5 مليون نسمة دفنت تحت الأرض ومثلها هاجرت إلى سوريا وأضعاف هذه الأرقام تشتت في بقاع الأرض هرباً من الجحيم ومنهم خيرة ما أنتجته جامعات العراق.. ناهيك عن تدمير البنية التحتية وتدمير المصانع وتلويث الأرض والنهر والسماء بملوثات وأمراض لا يعلمها إلا الله.. هل يعقل أن يكون هذا ثمناً للديمقراطية والحرية والتخلص من كذبة وجود أسلحة الدمار الشامل والقضاء على القاعدة.. لتنقل الحرية المزعومة وديمقراطية المستعمر على رؤوس الصواريخ وأجنحة الطائرات والدبابات التي دمرت الأخضر واليابس أم أن هذا الغزو الغاشم المستهتر هو الذي اضطر القاعدة وجميع الشرفاء المدافعين عن عراقهم ليحملوا أرواحهم على أكفهم بعد إيمانهم بالله ثم بأن ما أخذ بالقوة لا يسترجع إلا بالقوة. يا عقلاء أمريكا وبريطانيا أليس منكم رجل رشيد ألا يكفي القناعة بهذه الخمس سنوات من الخسائر المادية والبشرية بين صفوفكم.. ألا يكفي رفض الشارع الأمريكي والأوروبي لهذه السياسة المستهترة.. كنا نتمنى لو أن قادة هذه الدول أعطوا جرعات من تاريخ المسلمين والعرب في كفاحهم وصبرهم وجهادهم ضد المستعمر.. ما أجمل قول الشاعر ويا ليتني أعرف لغة العجم حتى أترجمها لهم. سأحمل روحي على راحتي وألقي بها في مهاوي الردى فإما حياة تسر الصديق وإما ممات يغيظ العدى
