وبعد أن أدى سنَّة الفجر وكعادته في تلاوة كتاب الله الكريم وحضوره مبكراً لبيت الله وافته المنية. قدر الله سبحانه أراد أن يلقاه بهذه الصورة التي يتمنى الكثير أن يهبه الله مثلها. ذلك هو الشيخ عبدالله بن ماجد بن عضيب (المعروف بعبود الماجد). عبود الماجد هذا الاسم العزيز على نفوسنا نحن أهالي روضة سدير عشنا معه عشرات السنين ولا نعرف إلا (دكان عبود). هذا المول العظيم في نظرنا لا تتجاوز مساحته ستة أمتار ولكنه يحوي كل احتياجاتنا، وعندما نسأل عن شيء نقول تجدونه في (دكان عبود) فعلاً هذا الدكان الغالي بصاحبه يعتبر رمزاً من رموز ديرتنا ولأن صاحبه – رحمه الله وأسكنه فسيح جناته- كان مثالاً للصدق والأمانة والمحبة. أول ما عرفنا البيبسي والميرندا كانت في دكان عبود والطريف أنه كان (يحط الغراش) في داخل قربة الماء لعدم وجود الثلاجات وكذلك أنواع الحلويات مثل البرميت والعلوك والملبّس والقريض والبسكوت عند (دكان عبود). آخر مقابلة معه كانت في المسجد الذي توفي فيه، وعندما ذهبت للسلام عليه أومأ بيده وقال مانيب مسلِّم عليك ثم دمعت عيناه (جعلها ما تعرض على النار) قائلاً ليش ما عاد أشوفك ليش المقاطعة (قصده مقاطعة الظهران) أخذتك علينا. قبّلت رأسه واعتذرت وجلسنا في جانب المسجد وأخذ يسألني عن والدتي وإخواني. هو فقيد لدى جميع أهل الروضة ولكن نرجو الله العظيم أن يجعل مساكنه الفردوس الأعلى وأن يعظم أجر ابنه هزاع وإخوانه وأخواته وأخيه محمد وكلنا جميعاً. ورحم الله والده ووالدته (أم عبود) المرأة الفاضلة صديقة سيدتي الوالدة وإحدى النساء الكريمات على نساء روضة سدير.
